01/21/2020 - Dr. Lauren Vicker, professor of media and communication, was invited to be a presenter on a webinar sponsored by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. The topic was “Co-Curriculum Assessment Modalities across Accredited Pharmacy Programs,” and mainly detailed the results of a large-scale survey of pharmacy programs.
01/17/2020 - Dr. Kathryn Connor, associate professor in the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, has been elected to serve as president-elect of the New York State Chapter of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. Her term began on January 1, 2020 and it will be for three years.
01/13/2020 - The Wegmans School of Pharmacy honored 62 first-year students during its annual White Coat Ceremony, held on Sunday, Jan. 12.
01/12/2020 - The Wegmans School of Pharmacy at St. John Fisher College received a $100,000 gift to fund student travel experiences, including to professional conferences and medical missions, thanks to the generosity of Ludmilla (Lucy) P. Malmberg, nationally renowned pharmacist, educational philanthropist, and entrepreneur.
12/04/2019 - Michelle Price, outreach and science librarian, served as a 24-hour Ask Me Anything expert for the Society of Critical Care Medicine - Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology Section. For 24 hours, Price joined a pharmacist in addressing questions regarding Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses.
11/21/2019 - Faculty members and students from St. John Fisher College were among the attendees at the first-ever Developmental Biology New York Conference, held at Ithaca College this fall.
11/05/2019 - Among the finalists for the 2020 ATHENA International Awards are Dr. Arlette Miller Smith, associate professor of English and director of the African American Studies program at St. John Fisher College, and Nancy Catarisano ’83, managing partner, Insero & Co. CPAS LLP. Dr. Mona Gandhi, associate professor of pharmacy practice and administration in the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, was among the finalists of the ATHENA Young Professionals Award, which recognizes emerging female leaders.
10/30/2019 - In October, Wegmans School of Pharmacy joined a nationwide effort to shine the spotlight on the pharmacy profession during National Pharmacy Week. Designed by the American Society of Health-system Pharmacists, the celebration was an opportunity to educate the public about the role of pharmacists as members of the health care team and advance the profession. The week also coincided with the American Pharmacists’ Association’s designation of October as American Pharmacists’ Month.
10/29/2019 - The Wegmans School of Pharmacy at St. John Fisher College was among one of nearly 100 booths at the Project Homeless Connect “Day of Services” event held at the Blue Cross Arena earlier this month.
