Housing is available on campus for Summer 2026. Summer students can sign up to stay for the entire summer session or individual sessions.

Apply now on ResLife Online! The summer housing application is due by 4:30 p.m. on April 17.

Who can live on campus during the summer?

Students eligible for summer housing, are:

  • between the ages of 17 and 23 at the start of the Housing License, and
  • enrolled full time for the upcoming fall semester, and
  • participating in at least one of the following:
    • Registered for at least one course at the University during the summer housing session
    • Participating in an internship for credit at the University during the summer housing session
    • Participating in an internship or academic program that is sponsored by the University during the summer housing session
    • Working in the Rochester region during the summer housing session

Not registered for Fall but need to stay for the summer to finish your degree? Give us a call at (585) 385-8281 or email reslife@sjf.edu as exceptions will be made for students who aren’t registered for Fall but are taking summer classes to complete a degree.

Summer Session Dates

Summer housing is available to coincide with the summer academic sessions and the Summer Research Program.

12 Week Session

  • Move In: Noon, Sunday, May 17, 2026
  • Move Out: Noon, Friday, August 14, 2026

6 Week Session #1

  • Move In: Noon, Sunday, May 17, 2026
  • Move Out: Noon, Friday, June 26, 2026

6 Week Session #2

  • Move In: Noon, Sunday, July 5, 2026
  • Move Out: Noon, Friday, August 14, 2026

Summer Research Program

  • Move In: Noon, Sunday, May 31, 2026
  • Move Out: Noon, Tuesday, August 11, 2026

How much does it cost?

Summer Rates

Summer rates include room and board (meals).

  • 12 Week Session - $3,362.00 for housing and meal plan. The rate includes a $600 Dining Dollar meal plan.
  • 6 Week Session - $1,796.00 for housing and meal plan. The rate includes a $300 Dining Dollar meal plan.
  • Summer Research Program - $2,841.00 or housing and meal plan. The rate includes a $500 Dining Dollar meal plan.

Note about room type: You can choose a single room or double room. For the summer term, a single means you won’t share a sleeping room with anyone else. You may be assigned to a single or you may be assigned to a double room without a roommate, depending on occupancy.

Meal Plans

The summer meal plan is Dining Dollars. Summer schedules can be different from one student to another, so you have more flexibility. Summer Dining Dollars must be used during the summer session. Dining Dollars do not rollover to future semesters.
