Financial Aid at Fisher
In determining financial aid, “financial need” is the difference between the cost of attending Fisher and your student aid index (SAI), as determined from information supplied on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Here is a simple formula of how it works:
Cost of Attendance − Student Aid Index − Other Financial Assistance = Financial Need
The financial aid we award comes from a variety of sources—the final result being a “package” of several types of aid. Depending on your particular situation, your financial aid award may include funds from scholarships, federal and/or state grants, student loans, or student employment. Applying for Financial Aid
We are committed to helping you afford a Fisher education. Let’s walk through the process of applying for financial aid step-by-step:
- To be considered for financial assistance from Fisher or from federal or state sources, you must apply to Fisher, be accepted, and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- The FAFSA is available to file online. For help with the process, watch this short video on how to create an FSA ID.
- The FAFSA should be filed as soon as possible even if you have not been accepted to Fisher.
- For 2024-25, Fisher expects to begin receiving FAFSA information in mid-March. Our student financial services staff will use this information to create the best financial aid offer for your needs and will send you an award offer detailing the specific types of aid you are eligible for.
- Once you've received your financial aid package, feel free to contact Student Financial Services with any questions or concerns.
