Student Diversity Organizations

Several student organizations work to increase awareness, understanding, and appreciation for diverse populations and ideas.

Asian Student Union (ASU)

Promotes education and awareness of Asian cultures, contributing to diversity, courage, acceptance, and unity throughout the Fisher community. Membership in ASU is open to all undergraduate students, and participation in club events is open to all students.

Black Student Union (BSU)

Dedicated to uplifting, supporting, and affirming our students while celebrating rich culture and heritage. We are more than just an organization, we are a family – committed to inclusivity and open to every student on campus, regardless of background. We welcome all friends, classmates, and community members to stand with us in solidarity and support our mission through membership and attending events. Membership is open to all undergraduate students, and participation in club events is open to all students.

Latiné Student Union (LSU)

We stand for the recognition, representation, and expression of the diverse heritage within the Hispanic and Latiné communities. Our mission is to raise awareness and foster understanding of the cultural richness and ongoing challenges faced by these communities. The Latiné Student Union (LSU) is committed to creating an inclusive space where all students, regardless of background, can explore, celebrate, and reconnect with Hispanic and Latiné culture. Through educational events and cultural programming, we aim to share our traditions and stories with anyone interested in learning more. As a cultural organization, we embrace diversity in all forms, welcoming individuals of all races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, and identities. Membership is open to all undergraduate students, and participation in club events is open to all students.

Jewish Student Association (JSA)

The Jewish Student Association aims to provide the campus with an opportunity to engage in Jewish traditions and culture and expand the interfaith community on campus. The Jewish Student Association strives to create an inclusive environment for all students on campus, no matter what their religious beliefs or backgrounds are. Membership is open to all undergraduate students, and participation in club events is open to all students.

Muslim Student Association (MSA)

The Muslim Student Association is an organization open to students of all faiths. Its main goals are to promote an educational and informative outlook of Islam that helps to address and eliminate misconceptions of the religion today. It is to provide a new perspective of life and one’s role in it and to enlighten both Muslims and non-Muslims through camaraderie and solidarity. It aims to provide a platform where students can freely discuss religion and foster interfaith and cultural understanding. Membership is open to all undergraduate students, and participation in club events is open to all students.

Sexuality and Gender Alliance (SAGA)

Fisher’s Sexuality and Gender Alliance strives to encourage acceptance across Fisher’s campus. Our meetings are open to all people, no matter who they are, where, or if they fall in the LGBTQ+ community. We hope to aid students with learning to accept not only themselves but all people from all walks of life. Membership is open to all undergraduate students, and participation in club events is open to all students.
