TRIO Student Support Services

The TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally funded program that provides comprehensive support to students who are first-generation, low-income, or have a disability.

TRIO Offers

  • Academic, personal, and career advising to help you navigate college, clarify goals, and create a plan for success—both during and after college.
  • ITDY 202 course and interactive workshops focused on study strategies, financial literacy, graduate school preparation, career readiness, and life skills.
  • Guidance to explore research, internship, and experiential learning opportunities that strengthen resumes and graduate school applications.
  • Access to the Academic Opportunity Programs (AOP) Student Lounge—A welcoming space to study, connect with peers, de-stress, and build community.   
  • Opportunities to explore next steps with graduate school visits and employment opportunities.

TRIO Program Eligibility

You may be eligible for the TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) Program if you meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Your family income meets the federal guidelines established by the Federal TRIO Program.
  • You’re a first-generation college student (your parents or legal guardians have not earned a bachelor’s degree).
  • You have a documented disability.
