02/13/2026 - In K–12 education, few practices are as essential — and as challenging to implement systemwide — as teacher clarity. While many schools strive to strengthen clarity in teaching and learning, leaders often find themselves without a roadmap for how to guide, sustain, and scale the work. A new book co-authored by Dr. Gina DiTullio, principal of School 46 and graduate of the doctorate in executive leadership program, aims to change that.
02/13/2026 - Registration is now open for the 2026 Fisher Showcase, an event that features the creative and scholarly work of University students, faculty, and staff.
02/06/2026 - The St. John Fisher University 72nd Commencement is scheduled for Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9 with five ceremonies celebrating bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree recipients. Once again this year, the University is seeking student speakers through a nomination process open to all members of the campus community. Students may also self-nominate.
01/30/2026 - A gift from former Fisher parents, given in memory of their daughter, established a scholarship for education students with a passion for community service, while another gift from an accounting alumnus created a scholarship for students pursuing the same path.
01/29/2026 - St. John Fisher University recently announced the Dean’s List honorees for the Fall 2025 semester, which includes more than 1,500 undergraduate students.
01/27/2026 - Several St. John Fisher University online graduate programs have been ranked among the 2026 Best Online Programs by U.S. News & World Report.
01/23/2026 - Katie Sabourin, assistant vice president of digital learning at Fisher, has been recognized by Apple as a Class of 2026 Apple Distinguished Educator.
01/13/2026 - St. John Fisher University has once again been selected among the more than 230 U.S. colleges and universities that have received the 2026 Carnegie Community Engagement (CE) Classification, an elective designation awarded by the American Council on Education (ACE) and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching that highlights an institution’s commitment to community engagement.
01/12/2026 - Each year, faculty and staff nominate members of the graduating class for “Countdown to Commencement,” a video series that recognizes the accomplishments of soon-to-be-alumni of the University. Fisher News Highlights features a student every week of the spring semester, as we countdown to the Commencement celebrations in May.
01/07/2026 - The executive leadership program will celebrate two decades of doctoral leadership with a free virtual speaker series throughout the spring 2026 semester.
