04/12/2024 - The new Black Box Theater at the Arts Center in Murphy Hall will open to the public with three events in the month of April.

04/10/2024 - St. John Fisher University recently held an induction ceremony for 21 students into the Alpha Mu Gamma Eta Chi Chapter of the national collegiate foreign language honor society.

04/09/2024 - The St. John Fisher University community is invited to participate in a Diversity and Leadership Table Talk from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, in Cleary Family Auditorium in Kearney Hall.

04/09/2024 - This spring, three student organizations at St. John Fisher University traveled to New York City to learn more about career opportunities, network with professionals, and explore the Big Apple.

04/08/2024 - The next student to be featured in our “Countdown to Commencement” series is Jenna Vinoya, a public health student. Vinoya was nominated by Dr. Marlowe Washington, senior diversity officer.

04/05/2024 - St. John Fisher University will host an artists’ talk and reception for the mixed media exhibit, “Urban Alchemy,” now on display at the Patricia O’Keefe Ross Gallery, located in the Joseph S. Skalny Welcome Center.

04/04/2024 - During the preparations for the renovation of Lavery Library, Michelle Price, special collections librarian, was organizing items for storage. Seeking assistance, she enlisted the help of Shannon Feeley, circulation supervisor, to sift through boxes containing regional newspapers. Amidst this sorting process, Feeley came upon a copy of the New National Era, a notable newspaper associated with Frederick Douglass.

04/02/2024 - On Monday, March 25, St. John Fisher University’s Media and Communication Program welcomed National Public Radio (NPR) host Aisha Harris to campus. Harris is a co-host and reporter for NPR’s Pop Culture Happy Hour, and is the author of the 2023 book, Wannabe: Reckonings with the Pop Culture That Shapes Me.

03/29/2024 - Rochester is poised to witness a total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8, marking a significant astronomical event for the region. This occurrence will be the first total solar eclipse in Rochester since January 24, 1925, and it won’t happen again until October 26, 2144. To celebrate this historic event, St. John Fisher University will be hosting multiple events in the week leading up to the eclipse.
