11/13/2019 - In October, members of the Computer Science Club participated in the CyberSEED 2019 Cyber Security Competition and Conference. This was the first time Fisher students participated in a competition of this magnitude, where typical competitors represent schools like MIT, John Hopkins University, and Georgia Tech.

11/07/2019 - According to a recent survey taken by some St. John Fisher College students, only 38% of the respondents were able to name all five freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment. These freedoms—freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, right to assemble, and the right to petition the government—are at the center of a two-week long campaign to change that.

11/05/2019 - Among the finalists for the 2020 ATHENA International Awards are Dr. Arlette Miller Smith, associate professor of English and director of the African American Studies program at St. John Fisher College, and Nancy Catarisano ’83, managing partner, Insero & Co. CPAS LLP. Dr. Mona Gandhi, associate professor of pharmacy practice and administration in the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, was among the finalists of the ATHENA Young Professionals Award, which recognizes emerging female leaders.

11/01/2019 - A new art exhibit at St. John Fisher College celebrates the one year anniversary of the launch of the Golisano Institute for Developmental Disability Nursing at the Wegmans School of Nursing.

10/23/2019 - Jeremy Sarachan, associate professor and chair of the Media and Communication Department at St. John Fisher College, had his documentary, “Active Voices: Gun Reform Activism in Rochester, N.Y.,” presented as part of the Buffalo International Film Festival.

10/21/2019 - New Major Now Enrolling, Launches Spring 2020

10/18/2019 - On Thursday, Oct. 31, a presentation and screening will celebrate the 60th anniversary of Rod Serling’s “Twilight Zone.” The event begins at 6:30 p.m. in Golisano Gateway Midlevel and Basil Auditorium.

10/17/2019 - Dr. Candice Gerstner, a 2006 alumna of St. John Fisher College, was among the recipients of the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE).

10/16/2019 - St. John Fisher College, in partnership with Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC), aims to alleviate the teacher shortage in high-needs rural districts through its newly created Noyce INSPIRE Scholarship Program.

10/14/2019 - Three days, 36 hours, 42 scenes, 85 student and faculty actors. It all took place last week as the St. John Fisher College campus turned into a production set for the College’s newest advertising campaign.
