Dr. Christine D. Bataille is Associate Professor of Management and currently serves as Chair of the Management & Marketing Department in the St. John Fisher School of Business. Her teaching and research interests are in the areas of organizational behavior, leadership, organizational change, identity work and work & family.

Dr. Bataille’s work has appeared in Academy of Management Review, Harvard Business Review, Personnel Review, Journal of Management Studies, and Journal of Vocational Behavior. Dr. Bataille frequently presents her work at international conferences and serves on the Editorial Review Board of Journal of Management Studies.

Prior to joining St. John Fisher University, Dr. Bataille spent 12 years at Ithaca College where she served as Chair of the Management Department from 2021-2026. At IC, she taught courses in organizational behavior and leadership at the undergraduate and graduate levels and recently served as Chair of the Curriculum, Planning and Assessment Committee in the School of Business. Prior to embarking on a career in academia, Dr. Bataille worked in management consulting at Bain & Company and in high-tech product marketing at Intranets.com/WebEx Communications.

Dr. Bataille earned her B.A., summa cum laude, from Simmons University, her MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and her Ph.D. from the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University.
