Lauren Calimeris

Lauren Calimeris Kocman earned her B.A. in economics and Spanish from Colby College. She was a research associate in the health economics field prior to attending graduate school. Skiing and mountains drew her to Colorado, where she earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She previously taught at the University of Colorado at Boulder and Metropolitan State University of Denver before settling in at St. John Fisher University.

At Fisher, she teaches Micro Principles, Stats I, Micro Theory, Economics of Sport, Econometrics, Data Analysis, and courses in the Honors Program. Her research interests include economic education, K-12 education, human capital development, and development and labor economics. She has published in Journal of Economic Education, Applied Economics, Economics Bulletin, and International Review of Economics Education. She is also the Director of The Honors Program at St. John Fisher University.
