Service Day Sends Wegmans School of Pharmacy Out into Community
A hallmark of the Doctor of Pharmacy program, the annual Wegmans School of Pharmacy Service Day brings both campus and online pathway students, faculty, and staff together to volunteer in their communities.
Consistent with the mission and vision of the School, Day of Service projects helped organizations that support diverse populations.
Campus volunteers dispersed at sites in the Rochester area including Rochester Refugee Resettlement, EquiCenter, Habitat for Humanity, Mary’s Place Refugee Outreach, CP Rochester, the Hindu Temple of Rochester, among other organizations.
Aliaksandra Hare was among a group of online pathway students who made greeting cards for Cardz for Kidz, a non-profit that spreads joy by delivering handmade cards to children, seniors, veterans, and others worldwide. Fellow online pathway student Cierra Patrick volunteered at the Red Bridge Recycling Center in Kansas City, Missouri while Valentine Orock spent a few hours at his local Salvation Army.
