Alpha Mu Gamma Holds 14th Annual Induction Ceremony
St. John Fisher University recently held an induction ceremony for 21 students into the Alpha Mu Gamma Eta Chi Chapter of the national collegiate foreign language honor society.
To qualify for membership, students must have achieved two “A” grades in college-level courses within the same foreign language. Non-native English speakers must also obtain “A” grades in at least two English courses. Moreover, a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required for all candidates.
The 14th annual induction ceremony occurred on Thursday, April 4, at the Golisano Gateway Midlevel. The newly inducted members are Elisa Aymmé Gendron Belén, Shayla Breckheimer, Jessica Carone, Alyssa Ciciriello, Francesca Maria Collana, McKenna Cooney, Claire Dearie, Andres Duran, Dylan Esquivel, Anna Exford, Sabrina George, Helena Griffin, Karuna Puwar Magar, Mary Ella Marrapese, Cassidy Ormond, Ayah Silmi, Grace McGee Smith, Olivia McGee Smith, Taylor Smith, Grayce Trimboli, and Steven Zocco. Present at the event were current members President Mia Donohue and Secretary Jenna Vinoya, 2024 Honorary Member Dr. Marta Rodríguez-Galán, and Advisor Dr. Francisco Plata. The inductees this year have studied languages such as American Sign Language, French, Italian, and Spanish.
