Eight Health and Wellness Staff Get COVID-19 Vaccine
Earlier this month, eight staff members in Fisher’s Health and Wellness Center were immunized with the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
“Receiving the vaccine was important to our team because it adds another layer of protection against the COVID-19 virus,” said Rebecca Kieffer ’96, LCSW-R, director of the Center. “As we will continue to provide care and testing for symptomatic students on campus, we felt that this was an important step to take as soon as we were eligible.”
Kieffer said that all of the staff who will be in-person this semester were vaccinated, and expect to receive the second dose in early February.
“Our team members were excited to receive this vaccine; it gives a sense of hope for the return to pre-COVID life,” she said, adding that the team will continue to implement safety practices throughout the spring semester designed to keep students and employees safe.
