02/06/2026 - The St. John Fisher University 72nd Commencement is scheduled for Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9 with five ceremonies celebrating bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree recipients. Once again this year, the University is seeking student speakers through a nomination process open to all members of the campus community. Students may also self-nominate.
02/02/2026 - This week’s featured student in the “Countdown to Commencement” series is Lily Gottstine, a biology major nominated by Jonathan Schott, director of campus ministry programs.
01/30/2026 - It was a full crowd at the Very Beary Brunch on Friday, Jan. 30 with the Teddi Dance for Love Committee, Camp Good Days staff and board members, Fisher faculty and staff, and members of the community showing up to support the annual event that serves as the official countdown kick-off for the Teddi Dance for Love, taking place Friday, Feb. 6 through Saturday, Feb. 7.
01/30/2026 - Fisher’s Summer Fellows Research Program offers undergraduate students an opportunity to engage in faculty-mentored research in a variety of disciplines and multidisciplinary collaborations and has been a catalyst for some students’ research careers.
01/30/2026 - A gift from former Fisher parents, given in memory of their daughter, established a scholarship for education students with a passion for community service, while another gift from an accounting alumnus created a scholarship for students pursuing the same path.
01/29/2026 - St. John Fisher University recently announced the Dean’s List honorees for the Fall 2025 semester, which includes more than 1,500 undergraduate students.
01/27/2026 - Several St. John Fisher University online graduate programs have been ranked among the 2026 Best Online Programs by U.S. News & World Report.

01/23/2026 - This spring, the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership is launching a new initiative designed to help students grow as confident, collaborative leaders. The program, Leadership Excellence at Fisher (LEAF), is open to all undergraduate students.
01/23/2026 - Katie Sabourin, assistant vice president of digital learning at Fisher, has been recognized by Apple as a Class of 2026 Apple Distinguished Educator.
