Chemistry Internships and Activities

There are many ways to become involved in chemistry at Fisher including Chemistry Club, tutoring, attending conferences, and more.

The Chemistry Club sponsors afternoon lectures by scientists visiting from other schools and field trips to tour the laboratories at nearby industrial companies, as well as picnics and other social events.

You also may work for the department preparing chemicals and equipment for labs and tutoring other students. Additionally, you may take advantage of the opportunity to conduct independent research with a faculty member.

If attending and presenting at national and international conferences is more your style, Fisher’s chemistry program is undoubtedly the right fit for you. Over the years, chemistry students have participated in the Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy, the National American Chemical Society meeting, and other such professional events. In 2016, several Fisher chemistry majors presented their research as Fisher hosted the 61st Annual ACS Undergraduate Research Symposium, sponsored by the Rochester Section of the American Chemical Society.
