Accounting Activities

In 2016, a Fisher team made College history when they won the national Deloitte FanTAXtic competition.

National Competitions

Fisher is regularly represented at the most prestigious accounting and tax competitions in the nation: the Deloitte FanTAXtic competition and the PricewaterhouseCoopers Tax Competition. Deloitte FanTAXtic is a unique interscholastic competition for students from some of the nation's top accounting and tax programs. The annual PricewaterhouseCoopers Tax Competition tests students' critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and time management skills.

Accounting Club

The Accounting Club organizes monthly meetings to host Rochester professionals from the field, discuss new industry tactics, and provide networking opportunities to students. Each academic year begins with a club-sponsored golf tournament, designed to bring together current accounting students, alumni, faculty, and recruiters in an informal setting to facilitate networking opportunities. The Accounting Club also coordinates the on-campus presentations and interviews that take place during fall recruiting in October.

Involvement with Professional Organizations

Students are encouraged to attend monthly meetings of various professional accounting organizations in Rochester. Additionally, special student membership rates are available for a majority of the following business organizations:
