02/15/2025 - Fisher Alumnus and Trustee William G. Clark ’78 was honored during the Urban League of Rochester’s 60th Anniversary Gala for his decades of service to the organization and for his significant contributions to advancing equity and opportunity in Rochester.
01/16/2025 - The Patricia O’Keefe Ross Gallery at St. John Fisher University will soon welcome “Earth’s Voices,” an immersive, eco-inspired sculptural exhibition by Judith Modrak, a New York City-based sculptor and installation artist. The exhibit will be on display from Friday, Jan. 24 through Thursday, April 24, and features Modrak’s Guardian sculptures and community-crafted totems, highlighting vital connections to the environment and each other.
01/07/2025 - The third annual Spirit of Identity Week, running from Monday, Jan. 20 through Sunday, Jan. 26, will feature events and activities that celebrate the diversity of campus and foster a sense of community and belonging for students, faculty, and staff alike.
12/09/2024 - The Golisano Institute for Developmental Disability Nursing at St. John Fisher University received $50,000 through the Special Olympics Health 2024 Systems Change in Inclusive Health Subgrant, funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The grant will fund the creation of professional development materials that will prepare advanced practice providers (APPs) to deliver quality care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
12/04/2024 - St. John Fisher University will kick off the spring 2025 semester with the third annual Spirit of Identity Week.
10/28/2024 - St. John Fisher University has received a grant for the 2024 First-Generation College Celebration national initiative from the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE) and FirstGen Forward with support from TIAA and the Strada Education Foundation.
10/18/2024 - Dmitry Bykov, a well-known Russian poet, novelist, journalist, and public intellectual, will discuss his latest book about Vladimir Zelensky during a lecture at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, in the Elaine Wilson Formal Lounge.
10/17/2024 - The Office of Multicultural Affairs at St. John Fisher University is accepting proposals for its upcoming Teach-In, “What Unites Us.”
09/26/2024 - St. John Fisher University students had the opportunity to travel to Jamaica this summer to volunteer with the Jamaica Advantage thru Sports for Youth (JASY) Camp. JASY is a non-profit organization that hosts sports camps for underprivileged children living in inner-city Kingston communities. Fisher is the bi-annual volunteer sponsor of the JASY Camp, with 180 total students, faculty, staff, and alumni having volunteered with the program following the completion of the 2024 trip.
08/21/2024 - St. John Fisher University will host a service project for all members of the campus community to benefit Rise Against Hunger at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, in Cleary Family Auditorium in Kearney Hall.
